Marta Romankiv - born in 1995 in Lviv. She is an interdisciplinary artist, creator of installations, video works, and social situations. She studied at the Faculty of Arts at the Pedagogical University in Krakow. She obtained her master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Szczecin. Currently, she is a Sociology student at the Jagiellonian University. She has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2020, she was awarded the third prize in the international Allegro Prize competition, and in 2021, she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture's Gaude Polonia Scholarship Program.
Her activities mainly focus on the theme of social exclusion, particularly nationality, citizenship, and the associated social inequalities. Her projects often have a participatory character and are situated at the intersection of activism, social sciences, and art. The artist has been living and working in Poland since 2015.
